Our ring sizes are US sizes. Find yours by the inside diameter of a ring that already fits you, or by the measurement around your finger. South African jewellers use the same letter sizes as the UK.
| US size | SA / UK size | Inside diameter | Around the finger |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5 | J½ | 15.7 mm | 49.3 mm |
| 6 | L½ | 16.5 mm | 51.9 mm |
| 7 | N½ | 17.3 mm | 54.4 mm |
| 8 | P½ | 18.1 mm | 57.0 mm |
| 9 | R½ | 18.9 mm | 59.5 mm |
How to measure at home
- Using a ring you own: measure straight across the inside of the ring, edge to edge, in millimetres. Match it to the inside diameter column.
- Using paper or string: wrap a thin strip around the base of your finger, mark where it overlaps, then lay it flat against a ruler. Match the length to the around-the-finger column.
- Tips: measure at the end of the day when your fingers are warm, make sure it can slide over your knuckle, and if you fall between two sizes, choose the bigger one.
